Diagram of the overall structure of a car engine
1. Machine body and crank connecting rod mechanism
The body and crank connecting rod mechanism consist of three parts: the body group, the piston connecting rod group, and the crankshaft flywheel group. The body group includes components such as the cylinder head, cylinder gasket, cylinder block, and oil pan. The piston connecting rod assembly includes components such as pistons, piston rings, piston pins, and connecting rods. The crankshaft flywheel assembly includes components such as the crankshaft, flywheel, pulley, timing gear, etc.
2. Valve system
The valve train consists of three parts: valve group, valve drive group, and valve transmission group. The valve group includes components such as valves (intake valve, exhaust valve), valve springs, valve seats, valve guides, etc. The valve drive assembly includes components such as camshafts and rocker arms. The valve drive group includes components such as timing pulleys (or gears, sprockets), timing belts (or timing chains), and valve lifters.
3. Fuel system
4. Ignition system
A gasoline engine is a spark ignition engine, and the function of the ignition system is to generate an electric spark from the spark plug in the cylinder at the appropriate time to ignite the combustible mixture in the cylinder. The ignition system mainly consists of components such as batteries, ignition switches, ignition coils, spark plugs, and related high-voltage wires.
